BIO

Comment please, I like the support and advice. Its helps my writing. Inspired by poets such as Hollie McNish, I do not write conventional poetry. It's foundation is a mix between poetry and rap, but also just my passion for writing. This, I feel, creates a variety of poems about love and hate, but also about politics and race. I am just a young man who likes to express himself with words, and maybe I can create a lasting impression on people as a bi-product. I hope you enjoy the poetry you write but more importantly, I hope that instills an emotion in you, wether you agree or disagree.

We are fighters.

This is for anyone who has gotten over a crush/ex/lover. Hope you feel more free.

We were the same.
same pain,
gaining nothing
but rainy days and shame.
Jumping meter hurdles with turtle legs
and boulders bearing down,
making hearts wain and sweat.
Giving comfort to each other,
Helping each other through the trail,
Like helping fumbling, blind babies’ fingers trace the brail for the first time.
But it was like making a fried egg unfry
Or drowning a fish, praying it will die.
Impossible.
So instead, we just sighed
Perhaps we cried,
watched our leafy emotions wilt and die
and lie in our pit-like stomachs.
And then something happened.
We both saw the light,
Helped each other to fight.
She leant me her fists and I leant her mine.
And together we walked a line to freedom,
Our hearts beginning to entwine,
whilst our unrequited love ties ground to a halt
Put up to a wall and shot.
We now dine, on new emotions,
Free from baggage and negative notions of relationships
and past slip ups.
Instead now we sit up, attentive and stronger, our turtle legs growing,
And the boulder now lighter.
We are fighters.
And we and our hearts have grown up.
