How many love songs have been written,
Where they don’t show the true love thats in the people that write them?
Because I have tried to write one for you, my love.
Comparing you to a dove, or summer’s day, as Shakespeare would say.
But you are more than that.
More than the world on which we lay.
More than a million archives of loving verses, stacked one upon one upon ten.
Because I tried to say I love you,
Everyday, and every night again.
And my tongue now knows those words so well.
But how could three words,
Three simple words express love so easily,
Without reasoning.
How can ‘I love you’ mean that I love you?
The expression in front of you, and repression of any proof,
Any affection, or obsession.
Thing is, its not enough.
And never will be so, because while this thumping muscle grows,
In the wings that it grew, thanks to you,
Its the ribs of words that are too small,
And won’t hold it all in.
Times this feeling by ten,
By one hundred, by one thousand.
And you will get a little fraction only,
Of how I feel towards you.
I don’t need to compare your eyes to diamonds
Or sapphires, or beach pebbles,
Because, they’re just eyes, and I would love you without them.
I don’t need to compare you body to hercules, or any other greek god,
Because, its just a case for feeling and love, and could love you without it.
You are.......
Something. A word not made yet, because nobody
but me has witnesses the true beauty of it.
But once again I will finish these verses,
With convention,
I love you.
Those three words again.
But only a fraction of what I really feel.

- Comment please, I like the support and advice. Its helps my writing. Inspired by poets such as Hollie McNish, I do not write conventional poetry. It's foundation is a mix between poetry and rap, but also just my passion for writing. This, I feel, creates a variety of poems about love and hate, but also about politics and race. I am just a young man who likes to express himself with words, and maybe I can create a lasting impression on people as a bi-product. I hope you enjoy the poetry you write but more importantly, I hope that instills an emotion in you, wether you agree or disagree.
