- He comes and goes
Like the smell of summer on a warm July breeze.
And when he stays,
He sweeps me off my feet and makes me float,
Feeling light.
He comes and goes when he pleases
And I have yet to catch him in a jar or hold onto his feet,
So that if he escapes through the window once again,
I can fly with him through moonlit streets of the city of angels.
He is wise,
And his age and his grey hair is a clever disguise
To hide his child-like, innocent heart and soul.
Give me one day to roll with him on the grass.
Give me one hour to pinch that gorgeous arse.
Give me a minute of my head against his chest so that,
like a babe to a breast,
I can feel safe, feel warm, and feel loved while his heart beats.
But He will go on being like the wind,
Mysterious and random,
Bringing smiles and laughs on his wings,
Hitting similar to cupids stardom.
As I write this slowly, hearing the rain outside my window,
I can picture him in my doorway,
Arms open, eyes open.
And I get up and we stand in the middle of the room,
And I hold him tight, because I have caught the wind,
And held him close.
I don't mean to boast, but right now,
I am the happiest guy on the globe.
So take your drugs and alcohol,
Take your anti-depressants,
Take everything you have to make you feel happy,
because he makes me happy without all that.
So I write this letter hoping he will see.
Dear, Wind.
Come visit me.

- Comment please, I like the support and advice. Its helps my writing. Inspired by poets such as Hollie McNish, I do not write conventional poetry. It's foundation is a mix between poetry and rap, but also just my passion for writing. This, I feel, creates a variety of poems about love and hate, but also about politics and race. I am just a young man who likes to express himself with words, and maybe I can create a lasting impression on people as a bi-product. I hope you enjoy the poetry you write but more importantly, I hope that instills an emotion in you, wether you agree or disagree.
